About the Role We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Payments Technology team at Morgan Stanley within Operations Technology. The team develops and supports scalable, secure, high-volume payment processing systems across global markets. Key Responsibilities • Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale distributed applications • Build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and messaging-based applications • Work with relational databases to support reliable transaction processing • Apply object-oriented design principles and established design patterns • Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, and production support • Collaborate with global delivery teams and interact directly with business users • Contribute to end-to-end delivery, platform stability, and continuous improvement Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in Java application development • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and Spring Framework • Good understanding of relational databases and SQL • Experience with messaging technologies and RESTful services • Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming • Familiarity with design patterns and Agile development practices • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively with global teams and business stakeholders
