About the Role We are looking for a Java Full Stack with React Engineer to join American Express (AMEX) for a contract position. This role requires local presence in Phoenix, AZ for onsite work 5 days a week. The engineer will be involved in developing high-performance, scalable applications using ReactJs, Java, and various Spring Framework components. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using ReactJs, Java, and Spring Framework • Follow and enforce best practices for front-end development • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis • Utilize project management tools such as Jira and Rally to plan, track, and report on project progress Requirements • At least 8+ years of experience in Java Development or Architect and open-source technologies • Strong experience in React JS, RDBMS, Spring Boot, and Agile methodologies • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ReactJS, Angular), and RDBMS databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) • Knowledge of Credit Card servicing and fraud systems • Experience with design patterns like Factory Method, Singleton, and Command • Familiarity with React tools including Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux • Expertise in performance optimization and strong troubleshooting skills • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
