About the Role We are seeking a Java Lead Developer for a contract position in Omaha, NE. This role requires extensive experience in Java development and various related technologies. Key Responsibilities • Lead Java development projects • Design and implement solutions using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security • Develop microservices and RESTful APIs • Manage messaging systems with Kafka or JMS • Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server • Implement containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes • Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Git • Leverage cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP • Apply design patterns, OOP principles, and distributed systems knowledge Requirements • 10+ years of Java development experience • Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security • Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture and RESTful APIs • Experience with Kafka, JMS, or other messaging systems • Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Git • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms • Strong understanding of design patterns, OOP, and distributed systems
