About the Role We are looking for an experienced Lead PHP Architect to drive the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) into enterprise PHP platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design scalable architectures integrating PHP platforms with LLM APIs and local model runtimes • Build end-to-end RAG pipelines, including chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, and vector database integration • Architect asynchronous ETL workflows using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis • Implement prompt engineering, semantic caching, token optimization, and AI guardrails • Lead architecture reviews, define technical blueprints, and mentor senior developers Requirements • 10+ years of backend development experience • Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, Laravel, and Symfony • 3+ years in Technical Lead / Software Architect roles • 2+ years of hands-on production experience with LLMs and RAG pipelines • Vector databases: pgvector, Pinecone, Milvus, Qdrant • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL • Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis • API development: REST, gRPC, SSE • Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP • Docker and Kubernetes
