About the Role Our client needs a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support and harden its Office 365 tenant during the holiday season. This role involves owning tenant configuration and engineering work, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining stability of collaboration and messaging services. Key Responsibilities • Administer and engineer the Microsoft 365 tenant including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive • Review and improve tenant configuration against Microsoft best practices and security baselines • Manage Entra ID identity settings including Conditional Access, MFA, and group-based licensing • Support device and app management through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot • Configure and support Microsoft Purview features as needed • Act as escalation point for complex M365 issues • Automate administration with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph • Document configurations, changes, and SOPs • Join holiday on-call rotation for M365 service incidents Requirements • 7+ years in Microsoft systems engineering, with 5+ years focused on Microsoft 365 • Deep hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive • Strong Entra ID experience with Conditional Access, MFA, and hybrid identity • Experience with Intune and Autopilot for device and app management • Strong PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph experience • Solid knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid Microsoft environments • Clear communicator who can explain changes to non-technical users
