About the Role We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer for an onsite opportunity based in Liverpool, NY. This role involves managing and maintaining enterprise-grade firewalls and supporting routing and switching infrastructure across multi-site environments. Key Responsibilities • Managing and maintaining enterprise-grade firewalls, including rule creation, policy management, and security hardening • Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting routing and switching infrastructure across multi-site network environments and remote datacenters • Performing vulnerability assessments, remediation activities, patching, backups, monitoring, and network security tool maintenance • Participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation and traveling up to 25% to support sites and infrastructure projects • Creating and maintaining accurate network diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio • Handling rack & stack, hardware deployment, Cisco IOS upgrades, and network hardware installation Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on network engineering and security experience • Strong firewall administration, routing & switching expertise, and network infrastructure support • Technical skills in network vulnerability assessments, security scanning, network monitoring, syslog, log management, network backup & recovery, and Microsoft Visio • Experience with rack & stack / hardware deployment, Cisco IOS upgrades, and network hardware installation • Experience supporting multiple remote sites/datacenters • Experience with NERC CIP environments is strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, load balancing, and network troubleshooting
