About the Role We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer for a fully remote opportunity in Mexico. This role requires strong expertise in network security systems and practices. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement network security solutions • Manage and optimize firewall governance, rule reviews, and recertification • Configure and harden VPN security systems • Support security audits and vulnerability management • Analyze threats and implement risk remediation strategies • Maintain security documentation and compliance Requirements • 5+ years of experience in Network Security • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firewall, or Fortinet firewalls • Strong knowledge of firewall governance, rule reviews, recertification, cleanup, and optimization • Experience in VPN security, network security configuration, and hardening • Knowledge of configuration compliance, configuration drift, and risk remediation • Experience supporting security audits, vulnerability management, evidence collection, and remediation activities • Understanding of security monitoring, threat analysis, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Excel, and security documentation • Knowledge of scripting, security automation, or AI-driven security reviews is a plus • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
