About the Role We are looking for an experienced Oracle ADF Upgrade & Java Modernization Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract. This role involves hands-on upgrading of Oracle ADF Faces, ADF Business Components, and modernizing enterprise Java applications from JDK 8 to Java 21. Key Responsibilities • Upgrade Oracle ADF from 12c to 14c, including ADF Faces, ADF Business Components, task flows, bindings, and WebLogic deployments • Modernize enterprise Java applications, including deprecated API remediation, javax to jakarta migration, JAXB/JTA changes, and Java 21/GraalVM implementation • Administer and troubleshoot WebLogic 12c/14c deployments, including JVM tuning, G1GC/ZGC, SSL/TLS 1.3 compatibility, and OCI-based deployments • Upgrade and troubleshoot REST/SOAP integrations, including Jersey migration from 1.x/2.x to 3.x • Perform regression testing, performance benchmarking, production troubleshooting, and UAT defect resolution for mission-critical HR or financial applications Requirements • Hands-on experience upgrading Oracle ADF Faces, ADF Business Components, task flows, bindings, and WebLogic deployments • Strong experience modernizing enterprise Java applications, including deprecated API remediation, javax to jakarta migration, JAXB/JTA changes, and Java 21/GraalVM • WebLogic 12c/14c administration and deployment troubleshooting skills • Experience with JVM tuning, G1GC/ZGC, SSL/TLS 1.3 compatibility, web services, and OCI-based deployments • REST/SOAP integration upgrades and troubleshooting experience • Jersey migration (1.x/2.x → 3.x) experience • SFTP/SSH, Quartz Scheduler, MyBatis, and enterprise middleware components experience • Enterprise application testing and support experience, including regression testing, performance benchmarking, production troubleshooting, and UAT defect resolution
