About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Staff Engineer / Principal Platform Engineer with deep, hands-on Kubernetes engineering expertise and a strong background in cloud infrastructure architecture. Key Responsibilities • Own the architecture, development, operation, and continuous evolution of a Kubernetes-based compute platform • Lead high-impact engineering initiatives and define technical direction • Design, build, test, deploy, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure • Develop custom Kubernetes controllers and admission webhooks • Improve cloud platform efficiency and reduce infrastructure costs • Establish consistent security, networking, and operational standards across cloud providers • Mentor distributed engineering teams and drive cross-functional collaboration • Shape the long-term cloud platform roadmap and improve developer experience Requirements • 12+ Years in Infrastructure Engineering • Expert-level, hands-on Kubernetes engineering • Custom Kubernetes controller development • Designing and implementing Kubernetes admission webhooks • Deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure • Cloud infrastructure architecture and distributed systems • Platform engineering, reliability, scalability, and security • Technical strategy and cross-team engineering leadership Preferred Qualifications • Advanced Golang programming skills • Hands-on experience with Istio or Envoy • Experience operating Kubernetes at production scale • Background in cloud-native, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused organizations
