About the Role We are seeking a PostgreSQL Platform Engineer to join our team for an 8-month contract. This role involves designing, deploying, and operating PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes, with a focus on high availability and scalability. Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, and operate PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes using operators such as CloudNativePG, CrunchyData, or EDB • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux • Manage database high availability, backups, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery • Build and maintain monitoring, security, and compliance controls for scalable data platforms • Support Change Data Capture (CDC) and streaming integrations • Support analytics workloads and PostgreSQL extensions such as pgvector and TimescaleDB • Help design and operate secure, scalable, and highly available PostgreSQL platform environments Requirements • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering or database engineering • Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL and Kubernetes • Experience designing, deploying, and operating highly available PostgreSQL clusters on Kubernetes • Familiarity with PostgreSQL operators such as CloudNativePG, CrunchyData, or EDB • Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux • Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP • Eligibility for the required security clearance
