About the Role We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team supporting the Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services and the Office of Higher Education. This role focuses on developing and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards for student loan reporting and data analytics. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards for student loan reporting • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation • Validate student loan data from multiple sources • Migrate existing Tableau and Crystal Reports to Power BI • Configure and administer Power BI Service • Implement Power BI security, accessibility, and access management controls Requirements • Minimum 5+ years of advanced Power BI Development experience • Strong hands-on experience in developing complex Power BI dashboards and reports • Advanced SQL query writing, data extraction, and data validation experience • Experience with Power BI Service configuration and administration • Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform environments • Experience working with Azure SQL Server and multiple data sources • Experience with Power BI report migration from Tableau and Crystal Reports • Strong knowledge of data modeling, reporting optimization, and data refresh strategies • Experience implementing Power BI security, accessibility, and access management controls • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Benefits • Opportunity to work on state government projects • Chance to work with higher education and financial aid reporting systems
