About the Role We are looking for a Professional Services Engineer to join our team in Japan. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced storage solutions for research institutions, telecommunications companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and other enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement infrastructure solutions using enterprise storage and third-party technologies • Build and deploy Linux-based systems and high-availability (HA) clusters • Implement file servers (NAS), file systems, middleware, and storage solutions • Support large-scale HPC and shared-storage environments • Collaborate with customers, sales, presales, and technology partners on implementation projects • Deliver reliable storage solutions for complex enterprise environments Requirements • Hands-on experience building and managing Linux systems • Experience implementing and supporting HA clusters • Strong experience with NAS and file server deployments • Experience with tape storage solutions • Knowledge of parallel file systems such as Lustre or IBM Storage Scale (GPFS) • A proactive, independent problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment • Strong customer-facing and infrastructure implementation skills
