About the Role We are seeking a QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance, specializing in data testing and validation. This is a long-term contract position that requires hands-on experience in functional testing, database testing, and SQL queries. Key Responsibilities • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing • Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across applications and databases • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing • Perform ETL/data pipeline testing and verify data transformation and migration processes • Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineering teams to resolve issues • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement Requirements • 5–7 years of hands-on QA/testing experience • Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing • Good proficiency in SQL and database testing • Experience with data validation, data quality testing, and ETL testing • Understanding of relational databases and data workflows • Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
