About the Role We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team for a contract position with 6+ months duration. This role requires extensive experience in production support and system troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications • Implement RESTful APIs and distributed applications • Design and troubleshoot system architecture • Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines • Monitor production systems and analyze logs • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis Requirements • 12+ years of experience in software development • Strong experience with Ruby/Rails and JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience with Java/C#/.NET beneficial • Knowledge of REST APIs and distributed applications • Proficiency in automated testing, Git, and CI/CD • Experience with system design and application troubleshooting • Familiarity with Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka strongly preferred • Understanding of event-driven architectures • Experience with enterprise-system integrations • Beneficial experience with MuleSoft • Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and ETL/data-pipeline • Familiarity with Azure and/or GCP • Required experience with production monitoring, logging, and observability • Strong preference for Datadog experience • Required experience with production incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
