About the Role We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and implementing security automation solutions to support Akamai Origin Lockdown, perimeter security modernization, and future security orchestration initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement security automation solutions supporting Akamai Origin Lockdown, perimeter security modernization, and enterprise security platforms • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform to automate security configurations, policy enforcement, and platform provisioning • Develop reusable automation frameworks, APIs, and microservices using Python, Java, or Go to reduce manual effort and accelerate security service onboarding • Integrate security controls across Akamai, F5, Palo Alto, DNS, Network, Cloud, and Platform Engineering environments through APIs and centralized orchestration workflows • Automate the deployment, configuration, testing, and lifecycle management of web, API, and edge security controls, including WAF, Origin Lockdown, TLS, certificates, and secrets • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows supporting Secure SDLC, Security as Code, configuration automation, and automated policy validation • Engineer and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud native security solutions within GCP, Kubernetes, and GKE environments • Perform solution design, code reviews, testing, production deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for security automation services • Establish operational dashboards, health checks, alerting, documentation, and support procedures to ensure platform reliability, availability, and long-term sustainability • Collaborate across security and engineering teams to define secure architectures, enterprise standards, reference patterns, and engineering best practices • Identify and automate manual processes to improve onboarding speed, security posture, compliance, scalability, and operational efficiency • Evaluate emerging capabilities, including AI-assisted security automation and orchestration, to improve remediation and security operations • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance while driving adoption of reusable and scalable security automation solutions Requirements • Experience with security automation solutions • Proficiency in Terraform, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud native technologies • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go • Knowledge of Akamai, F5, Palo Alto, DNS, Network, Cloud, and Platform Engineering environments • Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and GKE environments • Understanding of secure SDLC, Security as Code, and configuration automation • Ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows • Experience with secure, scalable, and resilient cloud native security solutions • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
