About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join Smartsheet in Bellevue. This role focuses on designing, implementing, automating, and optimizing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure • Build reusable infrastructure-as-code templates and modules using Terraform or Cloud Formation • Automate environment provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks • Manage cloud compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform services • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for reliable application deployments • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions • Collaborate with application, security, and platform teams on architecture and operational requirements • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues • Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, capacity, and cost Requirements • 9+ years of professional experience • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Strong proficiency in Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps • Strong understanding of cloud networking, subnets, routing, load balancing, and DNS • Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Knowledge of identity and access management, secrets management, and cloud security • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, or ELK • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
