About the Role We are looking for a Software Engineer – Data & AI Integration to join a high-visibility enterprise initiative with American Express. This role focuses on building scalable backend services and APIs that enable AI applications and agents to securely access enterprise data. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture • Integrate SQL and relational databases for secure data access • Develop solution architecture and reusable integration services • Implement Python scripting and automation • Manage CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and containerization • Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and application teams Requirements • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and backend development • Proficiency in REST APIs and microservices architecture • Knowledge of SQL and relational database integration • Understanding of secure data access, authentication, and authorization • Experience with solution architecture and reusable integration services • Familiarity with Python scripting and automation • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and containerization Ideal Candidate A proactive, energetic, and collaborative engineer who takes ownership, drives solutions independently, and works effectively across team boundaries.
