About the Role We are seeking a Staff Virtualization Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade virtualization infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade virtualization infrastructure • Implement and manage virtualization platforms using VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and vMotion • Develop and support virtualization solutions using KVM, Harvester, and other alternative hypervisor technologies • Optimize virtualized infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability, and security • Implement and maintain L2/L3 networking, software-defined networking, and network virtualization solutions • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational workflows using Python, PowerCLI, PowerShell, Go, and Terraform • Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to improve automation, testing, and deployment processes • Apply enterprise security standards and virtualization best practices • Support hybrid cloud integration across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across virtualization platforms and infrastructure operations Requirements • Strong expertise in KVM and Harvester virtualization platforms • Advanced experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, vMotion, and/or vRealize Automation (vRA) • Experience with alternative virtualization and cloud-native platforms, including Nutanix, Red Hat virtualization technologies, and OpenShift • Proficiency in automating virtualization environments using PowerCLI, Python, PowerShell, or Go • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Hands-on experience troubleshooting VMware environments using esxtop, esxcli, and pktcap-uw • Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols • Experience with enterprise infrastructure deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and root cause analysis
