About the Role We are seeking a Senior Structural Stress Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD. This role involves performing structural stress analysis and supporting design reviews and structural testing. Key Responsibilities • Perform structural stress analysis using FEA and hand calculations • Develop load cases and determine loads for primary and secondary structures • Build, solve, and post-process complex FEA models using ANSYS • Conduct fatigue, fracture, vibration, transient shock, bolt, and weld analysis • Support design reviews, structural testing, and design optimization • Document analysis results and ensure structural integrity Requirements • 10+ years of experience in Structural Engineering / Stress Analysis • Hands-on experience with ANSYS and SolidWorks • Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and classical hand calculations • Experience with static, dynamic, and nonlinear structural analysis • Ability to analyze highly loaded structures, pressure vessels, and mechanical components • Strong technical documentation and communication skills • US Citizenship required • Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
