About the Role We are looking for a Technical Analyst to join our investment banking custody platform team. This role focuses on maintaining and evolving a mature, highly customized system that serves multiple banking clients. Key Responsibilities • Review Java code daily and identify potential issues like thread-safety problems, resource leaks, SQL injection vulnerabilities, and N+1 queries • Refactor critical components hands-on • Contribute to code quality standards across the team • Translate change requests into technical design documents that guide developers and QA • Perform impact analysis for every change request across multiple clients • Define API contracts, data models, and integration flows • Coordinate with Product Owners, QA, and banking clients on technical feasibility Requirements • 5–7 years of hands-on Java development experience • Comfortable working with mature, highly customized codebases • Strong at code review and able to explain potential dangers • Experience with multi-client / multi-CR customizations • Solid understanding of SQL, JDBC, middleware, REST/SOAP • Background in banking or financial services • Able to produce clear technical design documents that developers can follow
