About the Role We are seeking a Technical Architect to join our team for a contract position. This role involves working with Looker and LookML architecture, advanced SQL and BigQuery, and various BI platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement Looker and LookML architecture • Work with advanced SQL and BigQuery • Develop semantic layer and governed metrics • Create data models and architecture designs • Lead BI platform migrations from Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Cognos • Optimize BigQuery performance and cost • Implement data security and access models • Establish CI/CD and development workflows • Drive enterprise BI modernization • Provide technical leadership and architecture documentation Requirements • 5–10 years of experience in technical architecture • Strong knowledge of Looker and LookML • Advanced SQL and BigQuery expertise • Experience with semantic layer and governed metrics • Data modeling and architecture design skills • BI platform migration experience • BigQuery performance tuning and cost optimization • Data security and access models knowledge • CI/CD and development workflows experience • Enterprise BI modernization experience • Technical leadership and architecture documentation skills Candidates must be comfortable working across Eastern, Central, and Pacific time zones in the United States.
