**Opportunity for Web Developer
Anne's Light Myeloma Foundation (a blood cancer charity) is looking for a freelance/gig web dev with AI website experience to assist on a NFP project.
This role offers an opportunity to collaborate on your schedule with a variety of clients and NFP Cancer charity projects while working in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. As a freelance web developer, you will contribute to building and enhancing websites and solutions for our not for profit organization and partner companies. Joining this environment allows you to leverage your technical expertise while maintaining flexibility in your work. You will work closely with clients to deliver custom solutions that align with their goals.
Role Description
This is a contract-based, remote role for a Web Developer located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. As a Web Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications on a project by project basis. Your responsibilities include all AI website development and solutions, writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with our organization, volunteers and staff, to understand their requirements. You will also ensure that websites are optimized for performance, security, and user experience.
Qualifications
-Proficiency in AI web dev., Front-End Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques
-Experience in Back-End Development: PHP, Python, Ruby, or other server-side programming languages
-Familiarity with Web Frameworks and Tools: React, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalent frameworks
-Knowledge of Database Management: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases
-Skill in Troubleshooting and Debugging website and application performance issues
-Understanding of SEO Principles and best practices to improve website visibility
-Strong Communication Skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a client-facing environment
-Prior experience in e-commerce platform development or content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is also considered
