About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team at ARC’TERYX. This role will play a pivotal role in optimizing and advancing our manufacturing processes through automation, focusing on enhancing production efficiency and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- →Analyze current systems and workflows to identify opportunities for automation
- →Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems for technical apparel manufacturing
- →Lead automation projects from conception to deployment
- →Mentor engineering technicians, engineers, and co-ops
- →Provide support for automation systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- →Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems
- →Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to transfer knowledge of new automations
- →Stay abreast of advancements in automation technology and industry trends
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in engineering specializing in mechanical or mechatronics
- ✓5+ years of experience in automation engineering or a related field
- ✓3+ years of experience in an apparel or outdoor equipment manufacturing facility
- ✓2+ years of experience in a leadership role
- ✓Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and common troubleshooting techniques
- ✓Experience with 5S, LEAN manufacturing, machine automation, and project management
- ✓Proven track record of sound judgment and ability to work independently
- ✓Strong interpersonal skills and ability to balance autonomy and collaboration
