About the Role
The Design Lead (Civil / Structural) will be responsible for reviewing and executing engineering activities for Civil/Structural Engineering of Solar PV Power Plants. This role involves facilitating the development of BIM 3D models, coordinating with various departments, and providing support throughout the project lifecycle from pre-bid engineering to commissioning and O&M.
Key Responsibilities
- →Review and execute engineering activities for Civil/Structural Engineering of Solar PV Power Plants
- →Facilitate the development of BIM 3D models for PV Solar Power plants
- →Coordinate with other departments including Electrical, Instrumentation, MEP, and others
- →Provide support for engineering activities covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to commissioning and O&M
- →Lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to manage engineering activities within budget and on time
- →Ensure timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents
- →Review drawings by Design Engineers and Draughts Persons
- →Check design and sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment
- →Review vendor deliverables pertaining to engineering
- →Estimate and plan man-hour requirements
- →Review BOQ and submit to contracts team
- →Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks
- →Provide support and clarifications to the Site Execution team
- →Check pre-award evaluation of vendors and forward validation documents
- →Inspect equipment from the finalized vendor
- →Clarify design and client requirements to the Site Execution Team
- →Collect inputs for project details from client and Section Head
- →Coordinate with Operations team for design specifications approval
- →Collect inputs for project details from Vendors
- →Provide support to Electrical DC, AC & Instrumentation for reviewing Vendor drawings
- →Submit requirement of man-hours for design and drawings review
- →Design deliverables like Module mounting structure design, GA Drawing, Control room, Inverter room civil & Structural drawings and documents
Requirements
- ✓Technical expertise in Engineering activities for civil & structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to the Solar Power Plant
- ✓Ability to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to Civil & Structural design
- ✓Understanding and interpretation of contractual technical requirements
- ✓Facilitation of Project Teams as and when required
