MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THIS JOURNEY
This is a highly collaborative role that will shape how the world understands and experiences DeepL.You [Upgrade to PRO to see link] will sit at the intersection of communications, content and product marketing, research and demand generation, and be a high-level stakeholder of DeepLβs brand narrative. The role requires strategy, creativity, strong writing and communication skills, agility, and cross-functional collaboration to drive brand awareness and influence pipeline growth.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
AI NARRATIVE & EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS
- Own DeepLβs AI narrative and content strategy/execution, defining how the company articulates its technology, differentiation and real-world impact.
- Partner directly with senior leaders as a trusted advisor on messaging, thought leadership, and external presence.
- Closely monitor and and engage with macro trends in AI (e.g., future of work, ethical AI, geopolitical impact, enterprise readiness), and develop original, defensible points of view that elevate DeepL beyond feature-based storytelling.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business and strategic narratives.
CONTENT STRATEGY & ECOSYSTEM ENABLEMENT
- Set the strategic direction for AI-related content, feeding multiple channels owned by PR, social, web, demand gen, and more. Act as a connective layer across content marketing, communications, internal communications, product marketing and demand gen, ensuring narrative consistency and scalability.
- Shape executive content across owned and shared channels, including blogs, social platforms, podcasts, keynote narratives, long-form essays, and executive bylines.
- Work closely with DeepLβs product marketing team to develop and execute a communications strategy around DeepL Agent that drives awareness, user adoption and clear market differentiation. Create content to showcase DeepLβs AI capabilities, use cases and customer stories.
- Partner with SEO/GEO/AEO leaders to ensure content is structured, discoverable, and optimized for AI-driven search and answer engines.
- Support content marketing initiatives on the blog and social media to increase traffic to deepl.com [Upgrade to PRO to see link]
QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR
- 12+ years of experience spanning corporate communications, executive thought leadership, content marketing, or corporate marketing in B2B technology.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Proven experience working with senior executives to develop and influence corporate narratives.
- Data-driven decision-making and proficiency in campaign analytics and performance optimization.
- Strong track record translating technical or complex subject matter into compelling business storytelling.
- High comfort operating autonomously in fast-moving environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with PR, marketing, product, and leadership teams.
- Experience operating at global scale and across cultures is strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience in high-growth SaaS companies (Series BβIPO stage).
Technical Requirements
- AI literacy, including familiarity with GenAI tools for campaign planning, content creation, and execution.
- CRM: Salesforce (or equivalent)
- Project Management: Asana, Jira, or similar tools
- Content Management: Contentful or comparable CMS/DAM platforms
