About the Role
The Employment Compliance Specialist serves as a high-level consultant and subject-matter expert on complex employment matters across the organization. This role provides advanced analysis, strategic recommendations, and expert guidance to management, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as a senior-level consultant and trusted advisor on complex employee relations and compliance matters
- →Lead comprehensive workplace investigations involving misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and other workplace concerns
- →Provide strategic recommendations regarding corrective actions, performance management, and workforce reduction strategies
- →Advise leadership on wage & hour compliance and ADA requirements
- →Analyze complex employment laws and regulations to support compliant decision-making
- →Partner with in-house counsel on employment matters and legal documentation
- →Prepare high-quality investigation reports with findings and recommended actions
- →Identify trends and systemic issues to advise on policy improvements
- →Develop and deliver training programs on employment compliance topics
- →Coach and mentor HR team members on compliance best practices
Requirements
- ✓Expert-level knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- ✓Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising on employee relations
- ✓Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex employment regulations
- ✓Excellent communication and documentation skills
- ✓Ability to navigate high-risk situations with sound judgment
- ✓Experience working with HR Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders
- ✓Knowledge of wage & hour compliance and ADA requirements
- ✓Experience developing compliance training programs
