About the Role
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to ensure financial integrity and promote accountability across the organization. The CFO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, purchasing, risk management, and compliance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- →Direct all accounting, financial management, and financial reporting functions
- →Supervise finance department personnel
- →Oversee preparation of financial reports and statements
- →Develop and monitor organizational budgets
- →Prepare required documentation for operating subsidies and funding sources
- →Establish and maintain internal controls to protect assets
- →Manage year-end closing processes and ensure timely submission of financial data
- →Produce annual financial statements and disclosures
- →Oversee fixed asset accounting and capital asset management
- →Serve as the organization’s Risk Control Administrator
- →Administer all employee benefit programs
- →Maintain registers for contracts, investments, and property
- →Review and audit financial provisions within contracts
- →Maintain current knowledge of regulations and accounting standards
- →Represent the organization in meetings with officials and stakeholders
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- ✓CPA preferred
- ✓Four to six years of professional accounting experience
- ✓At least two years in a supervisory capacity
- ✓Knowledge of public sector policies and regulations
- ✓Understanding of governmental accounting principles
- ✓Familiarity with accounting systems and internal control procedures
- ✓Ability to prepare and evaluate professional reports
- ✓Proficiency with computerized accounting systems
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Ability to supervise and mentor staff
- ✓Ability to prepare and interpret comprehensive financial reports
- ✓Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
