The Senior Account Manager is responsible for ensuring campaigns exceed expectations - driving renewals and strengthening relationships with clients across both direct and programmatic environments. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for owning complex books of business with significant budgets. This role ensures campaigns exceed expectations, drives renewals at scale, and strengthens executive-level client relationships. In addition to managing the full post-sale lifecycle, the Senior Account Manager mentors junior team members, contributes to team education & GTM initiatives, and serves as a subject matter expert in day-to-day process, programmatic activation, performance strategy, and client growth. Note: This position offers the opportunity for remote work or 'work from home' as there isn't a nearby office. However, GumGum is excited to only consider applicants residing in the local area listed in the job description for business needs including some or all of the following: client interaction, team interaction, timezone, etc. What You'll Achieve • Campaign Execution and Strategic Oversight • Own the full post-sale campaign lifecycle for high-value and complex accounts — from kickoff call through wrap deck — executing all direct and programmatic components including DSP activation, creative trafficking, campaign QA, optimization strategy, and ongoing performance management. • Oversee large-scale, multi-channel, and highly customized campaigns with advanced KPIs, ensuring alignment across internal teams and client stakeholders. • Drive cross-functional coordination with AdOps, Design, Engineering, Sales, and Programmatic leadership to ensure accurate campaign setup, documentation, and seamless execution. • Client Relationship Management & Renewal Ownership • Function as the senior primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts across direct and programmatic campaigns. • Take full ownership of renewal strategy and revenue retention across a larger book of business, ensuring a best-in-class client experience. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with agency, client-direct, and trading desk partners. • Growth Strategy & Revenue Expansion • Support Sales in managing and executing strategic sales opportunities across direct and programmatic channels. • Develop account growth plans leveraging campaign success, historical performance insights, and client business objectives. • Conduct in-depth research on clients’ broader marketing initiatives and proactively position solutions that align with their evolving strategies. • Leadership & Team Development • Mentor and support Account Managers & new hires through training, process guidance, and best practice sharing. • Serve as a go-to resource for programmatic expertise, performance strategy, and client communication guidance. Skills You'll Bring • 3+ years of experience in the digital media field, preferably in online verticals - Account Management and/or Media Planning. • Programmatic knowledge required (trading, planning, account management). Understands all basic concepts such as DSP, SSP, real-time bidding, Deal ID, Private Marketplace, 3rd Party Data. • Proficient with online advertising terms, concepts, and revenue model • Able to manage a variety of client needs while delivering on GumGum’s reputation for excellent customer service • Familiarity with Doubleclick,, Integral Ad Science, Millward Brown, Upwave, Salesforce, DoubleVerify and JIRA • Proficient level understanding of Deal IDs, Real Time Bidding, and other programmatic industry processes • An understanding of the agency model from the holding company to the agency trading desk What We Offer At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from $83,000 - $102,000 annually + a quarterly incentive plan. The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions. The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
