About the Role

The PMO Finance Analyst will ensure financial governance and strategic alignment across the project portfolio. This role manages budgets, resourcing, and cost forecasting at month-end, while partnering closely with Project Managers and the PMO to monitor project health, schedule, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

→Own month-end financial processes, including accruals, actuals reconciliation, and variance analysis.
→Develop and maintain project and portfolio-level budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
→Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior stakeholders and PMO leadership.
→Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
→Work closely with the PMO to ensure the project delivery framework is implemented and governance standards are followed.
→Monitor adherence to stage-gate processes, RACI, and reporting requirements.
→Collaborate with Project Managers to track cost, schedule, and overall health of projects.
→Analyse variances and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
→Partner with PMO leadership to align financial planning with organisational strategy.
→Contribute to portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation decisions.
→Act as a trusted advisor to PMs and senior leadership on financial and governance matters.
→Facilitate communication between Finance, PMO, and delivery teams to maintain transparency and compliance.

Requirements

✓Experience in financial analysis within a project or program management office.
✓Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
✓Knowledge of project governance frameworks and compliance standards.
✓Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
✓Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
