About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Systems Project Manager to join Instacart's Financial Systems (FinSys) team. This hands-on role will serve as a delivery leader, driving day-to-day execution across financial systems initiatives and ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own day-to-day Agile delivery execution for the Financial Systems team, including running sprint ceremonies and ensuring predictable delivery of committed work.
- →Lead delivery of small to mid-sized Financial Systems projects and initiatives, including internal efforts not owned by Finance Transformation.
- →Coordinate execution across multiple Financial Systems workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, sequencing, and dependency management.
- →Take accountability for on-time, predictable project delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and capacity constraints.
- →Partner with systems and functional leads to manage, refine, and prioritize the delivery backlog.
- →Drive capacity planning, forecasting, and demand management to support quarterly planning.
- →Maintain accurate day-to-day work tracking to ensure transparency across in-flight work, risks, and dependencies.
- →Establish and maintain Agile execution and Jira standards, including workflows, ticket quality, reporting, and documentation.
- →Define and maintain team-level delivery metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decision making.
- →Prepare and deliver governance materials, including internal review boards and Monthly Business Reviews.
- →Serve as a central point of coordination for stakeholder communication across Finance, IT, and Systems partners.
- →Partner with third-party vendors to manage delivery within contractual and operational constraints.
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of experience in project or delivery management, supporting Oracle financial systems.
- ✓Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM)
- ✓Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master or delivery lead.
- ✓Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams and manage dependencies.
- ✓Strong experience with Agile delivery practices and Jira.
- ✓Ability to drive delivery rigor and clear stakeholder communication in a complex environment.
- ✓Experience preparing and delivering governance and leadership materials.
