About the Role
The AWS Cloud Engineer will join the AWS Operations team to support Lightedge customers using the AWS platform. This role involves implementing custom solutions, documenting processes, and executing strategic plans to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- →Aid with the rapid delivery of cloud services for clients and internal projects
- →Develop and deliver internal continuous improvement plans
- →Act as lead engineer for large-scale AWS migrations
- →Explore new product ideas and engineer solutions with other cloud engineers
- →Collaborate with departments like Security, Networking, and Data Protection
- →Optimize cost/capacity ratios, implement monitoring, scaling, and database DR scenarios
- →Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication
- →Stay updated on AWS offerings and recommend improvements
- →Establish good working relationships with customers
- →Fulfill additional duties as required
Requirements
- ✓System Administrator or DevOps background with Managed Service Provider experience
- ✓Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- ✓3-5 years of system infrastructure design and implementation experience
- ✓5-7+ years of hands-on AWS experience
- ✓3-5+ years of cloud scripting experience
- ✓Proficiency with AWS compute and platform services
- ✓Scripting languages: Python, Terraform, CDK/Cloud Formation, JSON
- ✓In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems
- ✓Ability to work in collaborative and independent environments
- ✓Experience in agile environments with flexible priorities
- ✓Strong communication, integrity, and organization skills
- ✓Initiative and problem-solving skills
- ✓AWS Certifications (Professional/Specialty level)
