About the Role

We are looking for an Event Coordinator to scale and grow our global in-person community events. This role focuses on turning ideas into real events that bring people together, handling all logistics so our Success Engineers can focus on building relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

→Strategically identify target cities and regions for in-person gatherings based on community density and growth potential
→Lead all event logistics including venue selection, catering, AV, signage, swag, and guest list management
→Work with Metabase team members traveling internationally to organize casual meetups or visits
→Build standardized playbooks, checklists, and templates to scale events globally
→Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement
→Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Success Engineering teams for branding alignment and lead handoff
→Collect event feedback and metrics to continuously improve quality and impact

Requirements

✓Proven experience organizing events or community marketing for tech companies
✓Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects across time zones
✓Strong vendor negotiation skills and contract familiarity
✓Comfortable with international logistics including shipping and cross-border payments
✓Self-starter comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous environment
✓Ability for some international travel when needed
✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
✓Bonus experience with SaaS, data analytics tools, or open-source communities
✓Bonus multilingual skills in languages like Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German
