About the Role

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team at MetroStar and support a high-visibility, mission-critical customer. This role involves working with a highly qualified technical team to develop new applications and maintain legacy systems.

Requirements

✓Active TS/SCI eligible clearance and Security+ certification
✓BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics
✓At least six to eight (6-8) years in database administration and management
✓Familiarity with other relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
✓Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes and Linux environment
✓Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud services (Azure, AWS)
✓Use SQL tools to monitor daily database activity and health
✓Experience creating complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Cursors and User Defined Functions to implement business logic
✓Experience providing primary support to various business critical SQL Server applications
✓Knowledge of migrating, backing up, and restoring databases in place or to new environments
✓CI/CD development experience with technologies like Gitlab, Bash or Jenkins
✓Proficiency in SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language
✓Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Json
✓Able to support and troubleshoot RDBMS platforms on Linux, Kubernetes and Windows environment
