About the Role
Telemundo Las Vegas is seeking a Photographer/Editor to join their news team. This role involves shooting and editing news stories, including spot news and features, while working closely with newsroom personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work closely with news operations, management, assignment desk, on-air reporters, and other newsroom personnel to gather high-quality news stories
- →Use creative camera techniques, proficient lighting, and editing skills to provide engaging news coverage
- →Operate camera, technology equipment, and edit on Adobe Premiere and other editing systems
- →Respond quickly to breaking news while taking direction and interacting with various newsroom personnel
- →Shoot and edit high-quality video, interviews, and story packages
- →Set up and operate microphones and monitor audio levels
- →Set up and operate lighting equipment
- →Perform work under pressure with multiple, daily deadlines
- →Collaborate with field producer and correspondent on assignments
- →Gather video and interviews independently as needed
- →Troubleshoot technical issues in the field
- →Contribute to social media coverage
- →Work on other station projects as assigned
- →Adhere to company safety and daily operational policies
Requirements
- ✓Experience in photography and video editing
- ✓Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and other editing systems
- ✓Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
- ✓Strong technical skills in camera operation, lighting, and audio
- ✓Understanding of ethical journalism practices
