About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional to join our lean accounting team. This role involves owning core accounting operations and enterprise-level reporting while partnering closely with the VP of Finance & Operations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and can navigate shifts between cash-basis and accrual-basis accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- →Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders
- →Maintain dashboards, variance analyses, and commentary to support business decision-making
- →Own month-end close, AP/AR processes, cash-to-accrual transitions, and board-level reporting
- →Work closely with the accountant to facilitate timely and accurate month-end close processes
- →Drive process accuracy and cycle-time reduction while designing controls that scale
- →Support FP&A activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- →Help streamline and improve finance processes, controls, and documentation as the company scales
- →Partner across People Ops, Legal, Operations, and Leadership to align headcount, spend, and vendor plans with financial goals
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles, preferably in startup or high-growth environments
- ✓Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and deliver accurate, on-time outputs
- ✓Demonstrated cash-basis and accrual-basis accounting fluency with comfort in methodology shifts
- ✓Hands-on experience managing AR/AP processes and month-end close with strong reconciliations and variance analysis
- ✓Enterprise-level reporting skills with impeccable attention to detail and crisp documentation
- ✓High ownership, learning mindset, and calm execution under changing priorities
- ✓Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency and working knowledge of modern accounting/finance tools
- ✓Systems hands-on familiarity with QBO, Ramp, and Expensify
