About the Role

We are looking for a People Ops Manager to join Notion during an exciting growth phase. This role involves leading the HR Generalists team and managing the global employee lifecycle as the company scales from 1,000 to 2,000+ employees.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead and mentor a team of People Ops Generalists, setting clear expectations and creating career development plans
→Drive continuous improvement across onboarding, job changes, internal mobility, merit reviews, promotions, bonus processing, and offboarding
→Build scalable processes, policies, and workflows using technology and AI to support our growing workforce
→Establish audit-ready documentation and implement enhanced internal controls for SOC2 and SOX compliance
→Research local employment laws and partner with Legal and Finance on entity structures for global expansion
→Oversee the full lifecycle of our contingent workforce program, including processes, policies, and vendor relationships
→Collaborate with Legal, Finance, IT, and Recruiting to ensure People Ops processes meet compliance standards
→Analyze trends and drive informed decision-making using people analytics

Requirements

✓8+ years of experience in People Operations, including scaling from 1,000 to 3,000+ employees in a high-growth tech environment
✓2+ years managing a team
✓Deep knowledge of employee lifecycle management best practices and compliance requirements across multiple geographies
✓Strong working knowledge of Workday (HCM) and multiple People tools
✓Experience implementing internal controls for compliance audits
✓Process-driven with flexibility to adapt
✓Data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvements
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✓Track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams
✓Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to handle confidential information
