About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Systems Administrator to join Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN), a leader in renewable energy. This role involves maintaining and controlling financial payment systems while supporting portfolio growth and system changes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Maintain core finance systems and provide day-to-day support
- →Support month-end activities across finance systems
- →Manage system setup, master data, supplier onboarding, and user access
- →Own purchase order and invoice approval workflows
- →Ensure system documentation, access records, and audit evidence are up to date
- →Configure finance systems for smooth accounting and reporting
- →Manage invoice workflow tools and support system integrations
- →Perform checks and reconciliations to ensure data consistency
- →Act as the systems point person for a portfolio of assets
- →Support changes to asset structures and reporting
- →Assist with system changes and migrations
- →Design, test, and roll out improved workflows and controls
- →Simplify processes and improve reliability
- →Support system controls, supplier controls, and audits
- →Identify risks or control gaps and implement fixes
Requirements
- ✓Hands-on experience administering finance or business critical systems
- ✓Strong understanding of core finance processes and controls
- ✓Experience supporting system change, enhancement, or migration
- ✓Comfortable working with Finance and Asset Management teams
- ✓Strong attention to detail with a control-focused mindset
- ✓Clear, pragmatic communicator able to explain system topics
- ✓Experience with enterprise finance systems (e.g., SAP)
- ✓Exposure to invoice workflow tools (e.g., Yooz) and financial reporting platforms (e.g., Horizon)
- ✓Experience in asset-backed, infrastructure, or investment management environments
- ✓Familiarity with segregation of duties frameworks, audit processes, or regulated environments
- ✓Experience working with third-party system vendors and external support teams
