The role will be providing both strategic and hands-on partnership to the GTM functions. This is a dynamic global organization focused on high impact work across Sales, Systems Engineering, Customer Experience, Integrated Operations, and Marketing, among others. This role will be focused on three areas: 1) HR Business Partnering 2) Data analytics and program management 3) Performance management coaching and support . SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE… • Anchor HR partnership for the Japan site, forge trusted partnerships with the Japan Leadership team to drive the business strategy • Provide strategic support to managers on corrective performance management, including coaching on documentation, progressive action, and navigating complex performance issues. • Design a scalable way to up level manager capability associated with corrective performance management • Design and deliver data-driven insights through dashboards, reports, and analytics to inform workforce planning, performance trends, and HR program effectiveness. • Lead and contribute to cross functional projects, demonstrating data analytics and use of insights to drive recommendations and influence stakeholders • Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of scalable HR programs, policies, and process improvements. • Partner with leaders to diagnose team dynamics, identify talent gaps, and drive organizational effectiveness initiatives. • Serve as a trusted HR advisor, offering guidance on workforce strategies, change management, and employee engagement. • Proactively and explicitly identify problems and solutions for and with executives to improve organizational effectiveness and diagnoses the need and strategy for transformational change. • Fluency in Reading conversing and writing in Japanese as a must. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE... • Bachelor’s degree plus 12+ years (or Master’s degree plus 8+ years) of HR Business Partner environment, with direct client support and management mentoring experience • Experience in multiple industries in the HR or HRBP area (tech and non-tech) • Experience with performance management work, coaching managers on effective performance management • Proven track record of navigating organizational complexity and building strong partnerships with stakeholders to influence decisions/actions and produce results • A “business first” mindset of understanding Pure’s Go-to-Market Strategy and using that knowledge to apply HR and People solutions and outcomes • A “roll up your sleeves approach” - An ability to toggle across the strategic and operational - the ability to balance the day-to-day work activities across an array of client groups while instilling value-added business partnership • Progressive HRBP growth, previous experience in Manager or Sr. Manager level positions is preferred • Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas including organizational design, business intelligence, acumen and coaching • Ability to lead change management and organizational initiatives • Excellent social and communication skills, both verbal and written • Thrives in an unstructured environment and helps others do the same • Prior experience with a technology company preferred, supporting leaders in various environments • Good understanding of workforce data technology, common people & employee experience platforms, and various analytics platform and tools • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Tokyo’s office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave. • You will be based in Japan. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office.
