About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Manager to join RapDev, specializing in modern ITOM & DevOps ServiceNow delivery and Datadog integrations. This role will lead project teams while remaining hands-on with solution design and implementation, driving best practices in observability and SRE.

Key Responsibilities

→Serve as a technical manager and player-coach, leading project teams while remaining hands-on with solution design
→Manage and execute client engagements end-to-end, owning technical direction and outcomes
→Develop and maintain high-quality configurations and automation using YAML, JSON, and custom tooling
→Build, operate, and evolve cloud and on-prem observability solutions across Infrastructure, APM, and Logs
→Analyze and modify application code to support tracing, logging, and monitoring integrations
→Write and maintain custom scripts in shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages
→Manage, mentor, and support engineers on project teams
→Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
✓Strong systems administration experience with Linux/Unix in cloud and/or on-prem environments
✓Experience managing technical project teams while contributing as an individual engineer
✓Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and lead technical execution
✓Strong problem-solving skills and a self-driven approach to learning new technologies
✓Experience with modern observability platforms and scripting/programming languages
✓Willingness to work from the Boston office three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday)
