About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Senior Account Manager to join SGS's Sales team. This role focuses on selling environmental analytical services to existing and prospective customers, securing business opportunities, and meeting revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify business leads with existing and potential customers through continuous interaction across the Environmental community
- →Proactively seek out, intelligently target, and initiate contact with prospective customers to assess potential leads
- →Develop a network of industry contacts and continually qualify market conditions
- →Conduct discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs and determine potential opportunities
- →Assess client needs against SGS capabilities
- →Work closely with prospects to develop a value proposition and determine how SGS services will help them achieve their goals
- →Influence and promote the expansion or establishment of business opportunities through partnering relationships
- →Secure closure on all proposals to new and existing clients and effectively hand over the contract to the Client Services Team
- →Communicate sales process activities reports to update businesses internally
- →Provide market intelligence to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager
- →Present and represent SGS at tradeshows and technical seminars
- →Act as the customer's advocate in interactions with the SGS organization
- →Represent SGS professionally and ethically in the marketplace
- →Continually develop personal selling skills and acquire industry knowledge
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in business development or client service
- ✓Passion for solution-based selling
- ✓Experience in analytical testing sales is strongly encouraged
- ✓Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and build long-term relationships
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to use CRM with agreed upon KPIs
- ✓Knowledge of environmental service offerings
- ✓Ability to travel to major cities within New York for client meetings
