About the Role
CredLens is seeking a Content Writer to support communications and marketing efforts, helping shape and share the organization's public voice as it evolves and scales. This is an early-career role ideal for a strong writer who is eager to learn and contribute meaningfully within a mission-driven, education-focused nonprofit that operates with a startup mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of external-facing content including website copy, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content
- →Support go-to-market efforts by creating content for product launches and partnerships
- →Draft and edit speeches, presentations, and thought leadership content
- →Help maintain consistency with CredLens’ brand voice, tone, and messaging across platforms
- →Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Design teams
Requirements
- ✓Strong writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly
- ✓0–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related roles
- ✓Demonstrated writing experience outside the classroom is strongly preferred
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, public policy, or related field preferred but not required
- ✓Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Comfort receiving feedback and revising work accordingly
- ✓Interest in nonprofit, public-interest, education, workforce, or data-informed work
- ✓Location & Travel
- ✓This position is based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least two days per week in the office. Travel is expected to be minimal.
