About the Role
TEGNA Inc. is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to support HR activities across stations within Texas. This role involves employee relations, talent management, performance management, and employee engagement, contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with leadership teams on organization and culture change, transformation initiatives, succession planning
- →Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee advocacy, relations management, performance management, career development
- →Champion diversity and lead efforts to promote an inclusive work environment
- →Develop policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce
- →Work with Human Resources, business colleagues and leadership team regarding recruitment, performance management, restructuring, coaching, training
- →Coordinate workers’ compensation, legal issues and compensation claims
- →Understand and adhere to local, state and federal employment laws
- →Identify and analyze employee relations infractions and provide recommendations for resolutions
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Human Resources or related field
- ✓Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist/HRBP experience
- ✓Working knowledge of employment laws and multi-level recruitment experience
- ✓Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Applications
- ✓Record of success advising managers on HR issues
- ✓Strong employee relations knowledge with a proven track record in resolving performance concerns
- ✓Professional presentation and conflict resolution skills
- ✓Ability to establish effective relationships and work in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Strong ethical standards and integrity
- ✓Moderate travel to support smaller market stations in Texas
