About the Role
TEGNA Inc. is seeking a People Ops Excellence Lead to design, map, standardize, and continuously improve People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle. This role focuses on operational excellence, reducing variation, and building scalable ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, map, and optimize end-to-end People Operations processes
- →Create and maintain process maps for current and future states
- →Identify waste, failure points, and risks in processes
- →Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence principles
- →Define and document SOPs, playbooks, and best practices
- →Ensure consistent process adherence and improvement
- →Own onboarding experience design across People Operations
- →Develop and maintain HR knowledge content
- →Use data and metrics to measure effectiveness
- →Partner with HRBPs, People Experience, Payroll, HRIS, and Talent teams
Requirements
- ✓Experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Business Partnering
- ✓Demonstrated experience with formal process mapping and documentation
- ✓Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence experience
- ✓Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- ✓Experience improving complex, cross-functional processes
- ✓Ability to translate process design into practical ways of working
- ✓Experience with learning, onboarding, or enablement content
