About the Role
We are looking for a Lifestyle Editor/Photographer to join our team at 12News (KPNX), the NBC affiliate in Phoenix. This role is central to our lifestyle production operation, responsible for creating polished, brand-safe content for broadcast, streaming, social, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as the primary editor for Arizona Midday, delivering daily shows with clean, polished, on-brand edits.
- →Edit both show builds and individual sponsored segments, ensuring broadcast-ready quality.
- →Create short-form and social cuts from segments for cross-platform distribution.
- →Shoot both in-studio and on-location lifestyle segments featuring hosts, guests, and clients.
- →Execute professional lighting, framing, and audio for various segments.
- →Work closely with producers, hosts, and the sales team to plan, storyboard, and execute segments.
- →Use EDIUS and Adobe Creative Cloud to edit segments and full shows, add graphics, and prepare content for multi-platform publishing.
- →Manage multiple shoots and edit deadlines simultaneously.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in journalism, film, communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ✓Strong portfolio demonstrating lifestyle or magazine-style content, branded storytelling, and high-quality shooting and editing.
- ✓Proficiency in non-linear editing (EDIUS required; Premiere Pro highly preferred).
- ✓Working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics and visual enhancements.
- ✓Strong field production skills: camera, lighting, audio.
- ✓Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a small production team.
- ✓Excellent organization and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- ✓Professional demeanor when working with clients and community partners.
- ✓Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
