About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join Unity's Feature Platform team. This role involves building the data foundations that power machine learning, experimentation, and optimization across our ads ecosystem. You'll transform high-volume event data into reliable feature datasets used for bidding, attribution, and ranking systems.

Key Responsibilities

→Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and curated datasets powering ads optimization and ML systems.
→Own end-to-end offline data flows from raw event ingestion to feature-ready datasets ensuring correctness and reproducibility.
→Develop and maintain large-scale batch and streaming workflows with focus on performance and reliability.
→Contribute to our Feature Store platform and collaborate with online serving layer.
→Translate complex product logic into durable data models serving analytics and ML use cases.
→Improve observability and data quality standards across pipelines.
→Drive architectural decisions and engineering best practices.

Requirements

✓Strong Data Modeling & SQL expertise with experience in scalable data models.
✓Production-grade pipeline experience with Python, Java, SQL, or similar technologies.
✓Distributed processing experience with frameworks like Spark or Flink.
✓Understanding of how offline data systems integrate with online serving layers.
✓Modern Cloud Infrastructure experience with containerized systems and Kubernetes.
✓Ownership mindset focused on data correctness and long-term maintainability.
