About the Role
Versant Sports is seeking a Digital Writer/Editor to join their growing team of digital content creators. This role involves creating and distributing original sports content across various platforms, with a focus on Golf Channel and other assigned sports.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write and edit SEO-optimized sports articles, headlines, and captions to drive page views and discovery
- →Work in a fast-paced sports environment, writing and editing multiple articles quickly on deadline
- →Cover Golf and other sports genres including basketball, volleyball, and soccer
- →Create, edit, and publish tournament- and news-related content
- →Manage content presentation across Versant Sports sites including Golf Channel and USA Sports homepages
- →Manage video publishing and livestream presentation on Golf Channel and Sports App
- →Assist in the ideation, creation, and execution of sales and sponsored content
- →Package Golf Channel written and video content to maximize reach and prioritize editorial accuracy
- →Plan around key properties and tentpole events to develop coverage strategies
- →Contribute to team brainstorms by pitching content ideas to build traffic and audience
- →Support relationships with partner platforms
- →Juggle multiple projects with parallel timelines
Requirements
