About the Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join Wabtec, a Fortune 500 company with over 100 years of operation. This role involves providing finance support for the Elastomers Division and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide finance support for the Elastomers Division
- →Oversee the financial closing process and ensure US GAAP and Wabtec policy compliance
- →Manage the account reconciliation process, driving towards no unreconciled balances
- →Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements
- →Assist with standard cost roll and physical inventory
- →Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- →Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation
- →Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and manage financial risks
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- ✓Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- ✓Experience with Oracle and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or BI
- ✓Familiarity with GAAP
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data
