About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex technical and commercial projects in the passenger rail industry for TransTech, part of the Wabtec global group. This challenging and rewarding role will allow you to work with leading transit authorities and car builders within the passenger rail transit industry.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead technical and commercial project aspects
- →Develop and validate project master plans
- →Conduct risk and opportunity analyses
- →Coordinate production and supply chain activities
- →Manage project financial performance
- →Ensure contract deliverables are fulfilled
- →Maintain customer relationships
- →Report project progress internally and externally
- →Manage projects for new products and services from inception through delivery and customer acceptance
- →Develop and manage detailed schedules to meet customer milestones on time
- →Manage and refine the tollgate-based New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- →Lead claim management and contract variations; maintain a Contract Margin Improvement Plan (CMIP)
- →Manage project core teams to meet all technical deliverables; interface with Design Engineering to develop/modify products to meet customer requirements
- →Interface with customers to establish, negotiate, and manage product/system technical requirements
- →Maintain accurate documentation for schedules, risks, issues, changes, and financials; communicate status clearly and proactively
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree required (engineering or technical discipline preferred)
- ✓Minimum 5 years of Project Management or equivalent experience
- ✓Excellent communication and organizational skills
- ✓Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects
- ✓Commercial and business acumen with entrepreneurial mindset
- ✓Proactive problem-solving skills
- ✓Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- ✓Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities
- ✓Ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- ✓Strong analytical and conceptual skills with mechanical aptitude
- ✓Familiarity with general manufacturing and assembly processes
- ✓Rail transit experience preferred (hands-on with engineered products and services is a plus)
