About the Role

We are seeking a collaborative and highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join the Wabtec IT Data & Analytics (DnA) Team. This role involves working on complex data challenges by delivering predictive, prescriptive models and AI/Gen AI solutions for various Wabtec Business Units and Functions.

Key Responsibilities

→Participate in all stages of agile/scrum to design, develop, test, deploy, and support data science/AI models integrated with different applications
→Work closely with Business teams to deliver solutions and collaborate with cross-functional users
→Develop AI-based solutions for different use cases based on business requirements
→Deliver data science/AI projects ensuring they meet business requirements and timelines
→Mentor interns or assist data engineers & peers on technical competencies
→Generate information and insights from data sets, identifying trends and patterns
→Research and experiment with new AI tools, frameworks, and techniques

Requirements

✓B.Tech or M.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
✓6+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, and Python
✓Expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, NLP
✓Experience with complete ML pipeline, data preprocessing, training, and deployment
✓Strong programming skills in Python, LLM, ML Flow, Deep Learning, PyTorch/TensorFlow
✓Understanding of AWS Bedrock, AWS AI tech-stack, and SQL
✓Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or others)
✓Excellent communication skills to convey technical issues to non-technical audiences
