About the Role We are looking for an AWS Application Architect to join a global IT consulting firm supporting a long-term financial services client. This hands-on architecture role focuses on building, guiding, and shipping scalable, secure cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and document application architectures, integration patterns, and implementation guidelines • Provide technical guidance to development teams building and modernizing applications on AWS • Evaluate requirements and recommend the right AWS services and integration approaches • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate technical approaches • Troubleshoot complex integration, performance, and connectivity issues • Drive application development standards and Agile delivery practices Requirements • 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC) • Strong application development background with Java, Spring Boot, Python, or similar • Experience building web applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures • Application migration and modernization in AWS environments • Docker, ECS/EKS/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines • Secure application development — authentication, authorization, encryption • Master's degree in CS or related field preferred • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Developer Associate preferred
